Switch to Madasafish
Migration isn't just for penguins!
We offer a range of broadband packages to suit every user and pocket, and a high standard of customer service (don't take our word for it, see how we stack up against our competitors), and we're confident we can save you money on broadband, and probably your phone too!
Switching your broadband provider involves a simple process called 'migration'. No, that doesn't mean you'll have to swim across the South Atlantic and live on herring for six months, but it does mean you can move to Madasafish without having to go without broadband during the changeover.
In order to migrate to Madasafish you will need a MAC (Migration Authorisation Code), which is a serial number that your Internet provider will send you if you ask them nicely by phoning the relevant number from the list on the right of this page.
We accept MACs from all non-cable Internet Service Providers.
To migrate to Madasafish, please follow these simple steps:
- Request a MAC from your current provider and ask how to stop them billing you for any further money after you've migrated away. It's vital that you don't tell them to cancel the service immediately. MACs must be used within 30 days of being issued.
- Sign up for Madasafish Broadband. Quote the MAC your current provider gave you and complete your order. Don't worry if you don't have a MAC at that time, you can still complete your order and send it to us later by raising a Ticket using Contact Us.
- You will receive an email from us confirming your order. It will take us approximately 7 days to switch your broadband service over to Madasafish. You will still have broadband through your current provider until we switch you over to our network.
Your current provider must supply you with a MAC on request within 5 working days and is not allowed to charge for issuing a MAC. If you are not able to obtain a MAC from your current ISP and they are not able to give you a good reason for this, you should contact Ofcom, the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries. More information about the MAC migration scheme is available from the Ofcom website.
Due to the nature of their services, cable broadband providers are unable to participate in the migration scheme. If you are with a cable provider who cannot supply you with a MAC, please contact us and we can discuss the best way of switching providers.
If you require further information about migrations, please view our Migration Frequently Asked Questions page.
